Our Naran Kaghan tour, 3 days 2 nights from Lahore, runs every Thursday as a group trip. It is for people who want to see Kaghan Valley over a long weekend without paying for a private car.
We leave Lahore at 11 pm in a Toyota Coaster, pick up guests in Islamabad around 3 am, and stop for breakfast in Balakot before reaching Naran by late morning. After a few hours of rest, a jeep takes you up to Lake Saif-ul-Malook, and the evening ends with dinner and a bonfire at the hotel.
On the second day we drive north past Lulusar Lake to Babusar Top, the 4,173 m pass at the head of the valley, and come back to Naran for the night. On day three we leave after breakfast and reach Lahore around 11 pm.
Two nights in a standard hotel in Naran, breakfasts, two dinners, the lake jeep and a tour guide are included. Rooms are shared by 3 to 4 people.

Times are a guide and can shift with the road and the weather.
We leave Lahore at 11 pm on Thursday from Thokar Niaz Baig or Barkat Market, with a short stop at Bhera on the motorway. Guests from Islamabad join around 3 am. After a stop at the Mansehra viewpoint we have breakfast in Balakot or Kiwai at about 8 am and check in to the hotel in Naran around 11 am. You get three hours to rest, then we switch to jeeps for the ride up to Lake Saif-ul-Malook and are back at the hotel by 6 pm. Dinner is at 8 pm, followed by a walk through Naran Bazaar and a bonfire at the hotel at 10 pm.
Breakfast is at 8 am. We then drive north along the Kunhar River, stop at Lulusar Lake and carry on to Babusar Top for photos and tea at the top of the pass. In the afternoon we drive back to Naran for dinner and a second night at the hotel. The road to Babusar Top is usually open from mid-June to September.
After breakfast at 8 am we leave Naran at 9 am and drive back through Balakot to Islamabad, where Islamabad guests get off. After a short stop at Bhera we reach Lahore around 11 pm.

Yes. Islamabad guests are picked up around 3 am on the way north, and the price is the same, PKR 15,000 per person. The pickup point is near the motorway or GT Road so the coaster stays on its route, and we share the exact spot with booked guests before departure.

The road over Babusar Top usually opens in mid-June and stays open until late September or early October, depending on snow. In May and early June there can still be snow on the road and at Saif-ul-Malook.
We book a standard hotel in Naran based on availability for your dates and confirm the name a few days before departure. Rooms are shared by 3 to 4 people.
Warm clothes even in summer, because nights in Naran and the top of Babusar are cold. Bring comfortable shoes, a cap, sunscreen and any medicines you take. A power bank helps, since electricity in Naran can be patchy.
A 30% advance confirms your seat. Cancel more than 7 days before departure and we refund 75% of what you paid; 5 to 7 days before, we refund 50%. Cancellations in the last 4 days, and no-shows, are not refunded.
This is our standard group trip: a coaster, a standard hotel and shared rooms. The luxury version follows the same 3-day route in the same Toyota Coaster, with a better hotel and better food, for PKR 19,000 per person.
