The Flame Towers lit up above Baku at night

Azerbaijan Tour Packages from Pakistan 2026

Direct flights from Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi on request

Our Azerbaijan tour packages from Pakistan fly direct from Lahore to Baku, about four hours, and include the return ticket, the e-visa, hotels with breakfast, airport transfers, transport and a guide. There are three trips: 5 days in Baku with a day in the Gabala mountains for friends and first-time travellers, 7 days for families with nights in Shahdag and Gabala, and a private 6-day honeymoon package for couples. Islamabad and Karachi departures are priced on request.

Azerbaijan suits Pakistani travellers well. The e-visa is online and takes about three working days, the flight is shorter than a drive from Lahore to Naran, halal food is the norm, and Baku is a safe, walkable city on the Caspian Sea. Outside the capital the Caucasus mountains have cable cars, forests and snow in winter, a few hours from the city.

Places to visit on our Azerbaijan tours

Baku is the base, and the best of the country is within a day of it: the fire sites and the mud volcanoes south and east of the city, and the green Caucasus mountains to the north west.

The Maiden Tower and the Old City walls of Baku at dusk

Baku Old City and the Maiden Tower

Icherisheher, the walled Old City, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with the Maiden Tower, the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, old bathhouses and caravanserais in narrow stone lanes. Give it a morning on foot.

Little Venice canals on Baku Boulevard with the Flame Towers behind

Flame Towers and the Boulevard

The three Flame Towers light up in moving flames after dark and can be seen from all over the city. Below them the Boulevard runs for kilometres along the Caspian, with Little Venice boat rides, cafes and the best evening walk in Baku.

The curved white Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku lit up at night

Heydar Aliyev Center

The flowing white building by Zaha Hadid is the most photographed in Azerbaijan. Most people come for photos outside; the exhibitions inside need a ticket.

Flames burning along the foot of the Yanar Dag hillside near Baku

Ateshgah and Yanar Dag

Natural gas seeps out of the ground on the Absheron peninsula, which is why Azerbaijan is called the land of fire. Ateshgah is an old fire temple built around a flame, and at Yanar Dag a hillside has been burning for decades. Both are best at dusk.

A grey cone of a mud volcano bubbling near Gobustan

Gobustan and the mud volcanoes

About an hour south of Baku, Gobustan has thousands of Stone Age rock carvings and is a UNESCO site. Nearby, small mud volcanoes bubble out of the ground; children love it, and shoes get muddy.

Gabala town and the forested valley seen from the Tufandag cable car

Gabala, Tufandag and Nohur Lake

Gabala is about three and a half hours north west of Baku, in forested hills below the main Caucasus ridge. The Tufandag cable cars climb to viewpoints with snow on top in winter, and Nohur Lake is a calm spot for a boat and tea. The Juma Mosque in Shamakhi is on the way.

Ski slopes and chairlifts at Shahdag in winter

Shahdag and Quba

Shahdag Mountain Resort, beyond Quba and Qusar, is the country's main ski area from December to March, and in summer its cable car runs for the views. On the drive north, a short detour reaches the red and white striped Candy Cane Mountains.

Flights from Pakistan to Baku

Lahore has the most direct flights to Baku of any city in Pakistan. Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), PIA and Airblue all fly the route, and Airblue started its Lahore to Baku service in May 2026, so there is a flight most days of the week. The flight takes about four hours.

From Islamabad and Karachi, AZAL has flown direct in recent seasons, about three and a half and three hours. When there is no direct flight in your week, we book a connection through Dubai, Sharjah or Doha instead, which adds several hours. Either way we confirm the airline and times before you pay the balance.

Azerbaijan visa for Pakistanis

Pakistani passport holders need a visa, and there is no visa on arrival, so it must be issued before you fly. It is an e-visa through the ASAN visa system: a single-entry visa for a stay of up to 30 days, issued in about three working days, or in about three hours on the urgent service. On our packages we apply for it for you.

  • A clear scan of the passport photo page; the passport should be valid for at least 6 months
  • No bank statement is asked for the e-visa itself
  • Carry a printout of the e-visa, your hotel booking and return ticket; immigration in Baku may ask for them
  • The state fee is USD 20; with the service fee the standard e-visa costs about USD 29, and the urgent one about USD 50

Best time to visit Azerbaijan

Spring and autumn are the best seasons for a first trip. Baku is known as the city of winds, so pack a jacket for the evenings in any month.

MonthsWeatherGood for
April to JuneMild and green, cool eveningsAll three trips; the best time for families
July and AugustHot in Baku, pleasant in Gabala and ShahdagMountain nights, the Boulevard after dark
September and OctoberWarm days, autumn colour in GabalaHoneymoons and the 5-day tour

Baku trip cost from Pakistan

Booked on your own, the return flight from Lahore is usually PKR 130,000 to 200,000, a 3 star room in Baku 50 to 80 manat a night, and food 15 to 30 manat a day; one manat is about PKR 163. The full breakdown, with sample budgets, is in our guide to the Baku trip cost from Pakistan.

Money, halal food and phones in Azerbaijan

The currency is the manat (AZN), at about 1.70 to the US dollar. Take US dollars from Pakistan and change them in Baku, because Pakistani rupees cannot be exchanged there. Cards work in Baku hotels, malls and most restaurants; carry cash for the mountains.

Most people in Azerbaijan are Muslim and halal food is the norm, from kebabs and plov to fresh bread and tea. A local SIM from Azercell or Bakcell can be bought at the airport with your passport.

How to book an Azerbaijan tour with us

Message us your dates, the number of travellers and the trip you want, on WhatsApp or through the contact page. A 30% advance confirms the booking and the balance is due before departure. Once the e-visa is issued and the air tickets are bought, those two parts cannot be refunded.

Show 7 more questions

How many days are enough for Azerbaijan?

Five days cover Baku, the fire sites and one day in Gabala. Seven days let you sleep in the mountains at Shahdag and Gabala instead of driving there and back, which is better with children.

Is Azerbaijan good for a family trip?

Yes. Baku is safe and clean, halal food is everywhere and the flight is short. Our 7-day family tour uses family rooms and a van only for your family, with two nights in the mountains.

Is Baku good for a honeymoon?

Yes. The Boulevard, the lit-up Flame Towers and the Old City make Baku a romantic city, and Gabala adds forests and mountain views. Our honeymoon package has a double room in 3 and 4 star hotels and a private car with a driver-guide.

What is the best time to visit Azerbaijan?

April to June and September to October. July and August are hot in Baku but pleasant in the mountains, and December to March brings snow and skiing at Shahdag.

Is halal food available in Baku?

Yes. Azerbaijan is a Muslim-majority country and halal food is standard in restaurants and hotels.

Which currency should I take to Azerbaijan?

US dollars. Change them into manat in Baku; Pakistani rupees are not exchanged there. One manat is about PKR 163.

How do I book, and what is the cancellation policy?

Send your dates and number of travellers on WhatsApp or through the contact page. A 30% advance confirms the trip. The e-visa fee and issued air tickets cannot be refunded once bought.
