About these terms

These terms apply to every group tour, private tour, honeymoon package, Umrah package and international trip you book with Pakistan Travel Diaries, a tour company with its office in the Allied Bank Building, Canal View Society, Lahore. Paying the booking advance means you accept them.

Each tour page lists what that tour includes and excludes. If a tour page says something different from these terms, the tour page applies to that tour.

Booking and payment

Your seat is confirmed once we receive a 30% advance. The rest is paid at departure. On international trips we tell you when the balance is due, because air tickets and visas have to be paid for before they are issued.

Prices are in Pakistani rupees and are per person unless the tour page says per couple or per package. Children aged 3 to 9 pay the child price shown on the tour page, and children under 3 travel free.

Cancellation by you

If you cancel more than 7 days before departure, we refund 75% of what you have paid. If you cancel 5 to 7 days before departure, we refund 50%. Cancellations in the last 4 days before departure, and no-shows, are not refunded.

On international trips, visa fees and air tickets cannot be refunded once they have been issued. The rest of the package follows the same rules as above.

To cancel, message or call us. The date we receive your message is the date we use for the refund, and we pay it back by the same method you used to pay.

Changes and cancellations by us

Mountain roads can close for snow, landslides or floods. When that happens we may change the route, the order of the days or the hotels to keep the group safe, and we tell you as early as we can.

If we cancel a tour before departure, you can move to another date or take a full refund of what you have paid. Once a tour has started, we cannot refund days lost to weather, road closures or other events outside our control, but we will do what we can to replace them.

Hotels, rooms and transport

Hotels depend on availability, so we confirm the names a few days before departure. On group tours rooms are shared, usually by 3 to 4 people, and couples can pay for a private room where the tour page offers it.

Group tours travel in a Toyota Coaster. Private tours use the car shown on the tour page, with a driver, and can start from any city in Pakistan. Anything not listed as included on the tour page is not included.

Pickup and timing

Group tours leave Lahore from Thokar Niaz Baig or Barkat Market. Islamabad guests are picked up at a point near the motorway or GT Road, at no extra charge, and we share the exact spot with booked guests before departure.

Please be at the pickup point on time. The coaster can wait about 15 minutes; after that it leaves, and a missed departure counts as a no-show.

Travel documents

Carry your original CNIC on every domestic tour, and a B-form for children. Foreign nationals need a valid passport and Pakistani visa, and some areas close to the Line of Control in Azad Kashmir need extra permission, so tell us your nationality when you book.

For international trips your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your travel date. Where a tour page says we arrange the visa, we apply for it once you send your documents. You are responsible for making sure your documents are correct and with you.

Health and safety

Some of our tours cross passes above 4,000 metres, such as Babusar Top and the Khunjerab Pass, and some include jeep tracks and walks. Tell us before you book about any medical condition, pregnancy or difficulty walking, so we can advise you.

Follow the guide and drivers on jeep tracks, at lakes and at viewpoints. Travel insurance is your own responsibility unless the tour page includes it.

Conduct

We travel through conservative areas and share coasters, hotels and jeeps with other guests. We may ask a traveller to leave a tour, without a refund, if their behaviour puts other people at risk or breaks local law.

Our responsibility

We are responsible for arranging the services listed on your tour page. We are not responsible for loss, delay or extra costs caused by weather, natural disasters, road closures, strikes, government orders or other events outside our control, or for the loss of personal belongings. Keep your valuables with you.

Your details

We use your name, phone number and CNIC or passport details only to book your tour, hotels, tickets and visas. Our Privacy Policy explains this in more detail.
