Tour Overview

Our Hunza luxury tour, 5 days and 4 nights from Lahore, is the shorter way to see Hunza and the Khunjerab Pass with better hotels and food than our standard group trip.

We leave Lahore at 11 pm in a Toyota Coaster and reach Naran after breakfast in Balakot. In the afternoon there is an optional jeep up to Lake Saif-ul-Malook. The next morning we cross Babusar Top and drive the Karakoram Highway past the Nanga Parbat viewpoint, the meeting point of three mountain ranges and the Rakaposhi viewpoint, arriving in Hunza for the night.

Day three is the reason most people come. We take a boat on Attabad Lake, the lake left by the 2010 landslide, photograph the Passu Cones, walk onto the Hussaini suspension bridge and drive through Sost to the Khunjerab Pass (4,693 m). On the way back we stop at Karimabad bazaar.

Then we head south: a night in Naran on day four and Lahore by 10 pm on day five. Four nights in hotels, breakfast and dinner, a BBQ night, the Khunjerab ticket, tolls and a tour guide are included. Rooms are shared by 3 to 4 people.

It was an amazing tour with Pakistan Travel Diaries. 5 Days Hunza tour was like a dream, I can not believe how the time flew over there, these 5 days were the best days. Every thing was properly managed, time, food, accommodation, traveling. The CEO Abuzar is not less than a Super Hero, the way he managed every thing was so smooth. He is like Jinny, call his name and he is in front of you asking "what can I do for you". It was a memorable tour. โฃ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‡

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a private tour?

No. It is a group tour in a Toyota Coaster, with luxury category hotels. Rooms are shared by 3 to 4 people, and couples can pay PKR 76,000 for a room of their own.

Where does the tour leave from in Lahore?

The coaster leaves at 11 pm from Thokar Niaz Baig or Barkat Market. We pick up Islamabad guests on the way and confirm the time and place when you book. Departures run through the season. WhatsApp us for the next departure. There is no extra charge for joining in Islamabad. The pickup point is near the motorway or GT Road so the coaster stays on its route, and we share the exact spot with booked guests before departure.

How much is the 5-day luxury tour?

PKR 33,000 per person in a shared room. Children aged 3 to 9 pay PKR 23,000 and children under 3 travel free.

Is 5 days enough for Hunza?

It is enough for Attabad Lake, Passu and the Khunjerab Pass, which is what most people want to see. It does not leave time for Altit or Baltit Fort. For that, take the 6-day tour.

Is the Khunjerab Pass open when you go?

Our season runs while Babusar Top is open, usually mid-June to late September, and the Khunjerab Pass is open then. It is normally closed to traffic from December to March.

Show 5 more questions
Which hotels will we stay in?

We book luxury category hotels in Naran and Hunza based on availability for your dates, and confirm the names a few days before departure.

What should I pack?

A warm jacket for Babusar Top and Khunjerab, comfortable shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, your CNIC, any medicines you take and enough cash for the boat, the jeep and shopping.

What is the cancellation policy?

A 30% advance confirms your seat. Cancel more than 7 days before departure and we refund 75% of what you paid; 5 to 7 days before, we refund 50%. Cancellations in the last 4 days, and no-shows, are not refunded.

Where do we stay and what do we eat on the Hunza Luxury Tour 5 Days 4 Nights?

Nights one and four are in Naran. Nights two and three are in the same hotel in Hunza, so the Khunjerab day starts and ends in one place. Breakfast is paratha, egg, milk tea and channay or aloo bhujia. Dinner rotates between chicken karahi, chicken qorma, chicken pulao, daal and a vegetable dish, served with fresh chapati and a cold drink. One night is a BBQ (chicken leg or chest piece) with a bonfire and music.

What is the difference between the standard and luxury Hunza Tour 5 Days 4 Nights?

Our 5-day standard tour runs the same route on the same days in the same coaster, and its inclusions are the same on paper. The difference is the grade of hotel and food: on this tour we book a higher category, which we list as A++ accommodation and food, for PKR 6,000 more per person. If you can spare a sixth day, the 6-day luxury tour adds Gilgit city and Altit Fort and spends three nights in Nagar.
