Tour Overview

This 6 days Hunza tour package from Lahore is our standard group trip to the north: five nights, standard hotels and shared rooms, at a lower price than the luxury version of the same route.

Lahore to Hunza is two days by road, so we break the drive in Naran. The coaster leaves Lahore at 11 pm, collects Islamabad guests around 3 am and reaches Naran by late morning, with time for an optional jeep up to Lake Saif-ul-Malook. The next day we go over Babusar Top to Chilas, along the Indus on the Karakoram Highway, through Gilgit and up to Nagar.

From the hotel in Nagar, near the Rakaposhi viewpoint, we spend two full days in the valley. The first is Karimabad, Altit Fort and Attabad Lake. The second is the drive to Passu, the Hussaini bridge, Sost and the Khunjerab Pass at 4,693 m.

Day five takes us back over Babusar to Naran or Kaghan for a night, and day six ends in Lahore late at night. Hotels, breakfast and dinner, a BBQ night, the Khunjerab ticket, tolls and a tour guide are included. Rooms are shared by 3 to 4 people.

It was an amazing tour with Pakistan Travel Diaries. 5 Days Hunza tour was like a dream, I can not believe how the time flew over there, these 5 days were the best days. Every thing was properly managed, time, food, accommodation, traveling. The CEO Abuzar is not less than a Super Hero, the way he managed every thing was so smooth. He is like Jinny, call his name and he is in front of you asking "what can I do for you". It was a memorable tour. โฃ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‡

Frequently Asked Questions

Where and when does the coaster leave Lahore?

At 11 pm from Thokar Niaz Baig or Barkat Market. Departures run through the summer season, so WhatsApp us for the next date and we will confirm the pickup point. The coaster leaves Lahore at 11 pm, and about 3 am from Islamabad.

Can I join from Islamabad?

Yes. We pick up Islamabad guests around 3 am on the first night and drop them on the way back to Lahore. There is no extra charge for joining in Islamabad. The pickup point is near the motorway or GT Road so the coaster stays on its route, and we share the exact spot with booked guests before departure.

How much does this 6-day Hunza tour cost?

PKR 32,000 per person in a room shared by 3 to 4 people. Children aged 3 to 9 pay PKR 22,500 and children under 3 travel free. A couple in a private room pay PKR 76,500.

Do we go to the Khunjerab Pass?

Yes, on day four, and the national park ticket is in the price. The pass is usually closed to traffic from December to March, which is outside our season.

Which hotels do you use?

Standard hotels in Naran, Nagar and Naran or Kaghan. We book them based on availability for your dates and send you the names a few days before departure.

Show 5 more questions
What is not included?

Lunch, the optional jeep to Lake Saif-ul-Malook, the boat on Attabad Lake, fort tickets, insurance and personal expenses.

Is the trip hard for children or older people?

There is no trekking, but the days on the road are long and Khunjerab is high. If someone has a heart or breathing condition, ask a doctor before the trip and stay in the coaster at the top if needed.

What is the cancellation policy?

A 30% advance confirms your seat. Cancel more than 7 days before departure and we refund 75% of what you paid; 5 to 7 days before, we refund 50%. Cancellations in the last 4 days, and no-shows, are not refunded.

How long is the drive from Lahore to Hunza?

Two days each way by road. On the way up we sleep in Naran, then do Naran to Nagar in one long day over Babusar Top. On the way back we sleep in Naran or Kaghan. That leaves two full days in Hunza and Nagar from a hotel you only check in to once. Breakfast is paratha, egg, milk tea and channay or aloo bhujia. Dinner rotates between chicken karahi, chicken qorma, chicken pulao, daal and a vegetable dish, served with fresh chapati and a cold drink. One night is a BBQ (chicken leg or chest piece) with a bonfire and music.

What is the difference between the standard and luxury 6 Days Hunza Tour Package?

This is the standard version of our 6-day Hunza trip. The luxury tour follows the same route on the same days in the same coaster, but books a higher hotel category, uses the quality buffet menu and carries a first aid kit, for PKR 6,000 more per person. If six days is too long, our 5-day standard tour covers Attabad, Passu and Khunjerab with two nights in Hunza.
