Our Swat Valley tour, 3 days 2 nights from Lahore, is the luxury version of our group trip to Swat. You travel with the group by coaster and see the same places as on the standard trip, but the hotel in Bahrain is a more comfortable one.
We leave Lahore at 11 pm from Thokar Niaz Baig or Barkat Market, pick up Islamabad guests on the way and take the Swat Motorway north. Breakfast is in Mingora, and then we drive up to Malam Jabba for the ski slopes and, if you want it, the chairlift. In the evening we follow the Swat River up to Bahrain, where we stay both nights.
Day two is the long one. We leave early for Kalam, walk in Ushu Forest, stop at Matiltan and go up the jeep track to Mahodand Lake, then come back through Kalam Bazaar to Bahrain for dinner. On day three we drive home after breakfast, drop Islamabad guests and reach Lahore around 11 pm.
Two nights in Bahrain, breakfast and dinner as per the itinerary, a BBQ night with a bonfire and music, road tolls and a guide are included. Rooms are shared by 3 to 4 people, and couples can book a room of their own.

We leave Lahore at 11 pm the night before from Thokar Niaz Baig or Barkat Market, and Islamabad guests join on the way. After breakfast in Mingora we drive up to the Malam Jabba ski resort, where you can ride the chairlift if you want to (the ticket is not included). In the afternoon we drive up the valley to Bahrain, check in to the hotel and have dinner there.
We have breakfast early and leave for Kalam. From there we go into Ushu Forest and on past Matiltan. The road to Mahodand Lake is a jeep track of 35 to 40 km that takes two and a half to three hours each way, so we switch to local jeeps in Kalam. Saifullah Lake is visited on the same trip when the track allows. On the way back we stop in Kalam Bazaar, then return to Bahrain for dinner and the second night.
After breakfast at the hotel we leave Bahrain and drive back down the Swat Motorway. Islamabad guests get off in Islamabad, and we reach Lahore around 11 pm.

Yes. Islamabad guests are picked up on the way north in the early hours, and dropped back in Islamabad on day three. We tell you the time and place when you book. There is no extra charge for joining in Islamabad. The pickup point is near the motorway or GT Road so the coaster stays on its route, and we share the exact spot with booked guests before departure.
PKR 18,000 per person in a room shared by 3 to 4 people. Children aged 3 to 9 pay PKR 12,500 and children under 3 travel free. A couple who want a room to themselves pay PKR 41,000 in total.
The route, the Toyota Coaster and the guide are the same. For PKR 3,000 more per person you get a better hotel in Bahrain and better food. We confirm the hotel name a few days before departure.
The Mahodand jeep is not in the inclusions list. The coaster cannot use the track, so we arrange local jeeps in Kalam and tell you the current fare when you book.
Yes, the road has been repaired and most hotels have reopened, but some stretches between Bahrain and Kalam are still slow. In July and August we check conditions before we set off.
A 30% advance confirms the booking. Cancel more than 7 days before departure and we refund 75% of what you paid; 5 to 7 days before, we refund 50%. Cancellations in the last 4 days, and no-shows, are not refunded.
